This is build day number one of my brand new much bigger aquaponic system. I went to lowes and got some PVC pipe to make my grow bed stand. I am going to use my existing beds in my garage system for the new system. They are just concrete mixing tubs you can get also at lowes. Last weekend I purchased a 100 gallon stock tank from tractor supply in Deland. I am going to put goldfish in the system to provide the nutrients for the plants. I will put together a supply list and post an update later today.
Supply list
3- 10 foot sections of 1 1/2 inch pipe
4-25 inch legs
4 – 10 inch side
4 28 3/4 inch sides. Need to verify this measurement

Plants in the system.
I finally got some plants for my aquaponic system. I planted red and green bell peppers, patio tomato plants and broadcasted some lettuce seeds into the beds.
The lettuce seeds have finally sprouted!!!!
Aquaponic Overflow Tank
First aquaponic system
For my first aquaponic system I decided to create a system in my garage utilizing a 40 gallon aquarium
and 2 grow beds. It is a ebb flow system that takes the water containing the fish wastes up to the grow beds and In turn the plants clean the water and is returned to the tank. In the upcoming weeks I will be making an over flow tank in order to keep a constant height in my aquarium.
